Me-Made-May days 24 – 31!

It’s over!  This is what I wore for the last 8 days of May.

Saturday 24th
Miette cardigan. Today I did a whole lot of exercise and chores n’ stuff.
Sunday 25th
Black Miette, and Lady Skater dress.  I had to accompany my student in his year 12 recital!  He was fantastic.  Please excuse crazy hair, I hadn’t looked in the mirror yet and thought it’d be ok!  Of course Charles didn’t notice T_T
Monday 26th
These are my handmade pyjamas!  The top is traced of a singlet top I already had, and the shorts are from a boxer shorts pattern I used in textiles in year 7!  They still fit 🙂  Mostly because they’re stretchy.  I’m not sure if I wore handmade during the day but I’ve been wearing these most nights.
Tuesday 27th
This is a handmade blouse, I forget the pattern.  I think that originally it was a weird old pattern and I just decided to put pleats in the front. I kind of love it but the fabric is extremely fray-y and it has fallen apart on me before.
Wednesday 28th
Another Lady Skater dress (or the same one maybe) for another student’s recital.  Isn’t this jumper cool?  Mum bought it for me as an early birthday present.
Thursday 29th
Chuck jumper and alpaca scarf – a favourite outfit of mine.
Friday 30th
You don’t get to see my face here.  Owls jumper. A bead popped off this and I can’t find it anywhere!
Red and blue, how patriotic or something.  Unblogged long-sleeved lady skater dress, and Chuck jumper.
Round-up and reflections post to come!

Me-Made-May, days 17 – 23

Saturday 17th
Tonight we had the finale of the Canberra International Music Festival.  I wore my black Lady Skater dress (unblogged)

Sunday 18th
Finally a day off!  I wore my black ponte pants and my owls blouse.  Those pants are starting to pill already, terrible Lincraft ponte!
Monday 19th
To teach today I wore my half-circle skirt (I haven’t worn it since I made it nearly 2 years ago) and my Amber Bramble jumper.

Tuesday 20th
A day off from work, and it was cold.  I wore my snowman beanie, which I finally embroidered!
Do you like my hat?

Wednesday 21st
Teaching and CIT today.  This is my other black Lady Skater Dress and my milena cardigan.  I got som many comments on my tights!

Thursday 22nd
Sorry for the dark picture.  Today was my Milena cardigan and my tartan stretch skirt.  The zip is kind of weird in that skirt and I need to fix it, but I wore it anyway!

Friday 23rd
I’m sorry.  I totally flaked.  Today was a planned day off from life.

Me-Made-May, days 10-16

Whoooooa, we’re half way there!
Whooooooa, livin’ on a prayer!
This week has been the Canberra International Music Festival and I’ve been quite involved in the percussion.  We’ve had rehearsals and concerts all week and there’s more today!
Saturday 10th
Work in the library.  I wore my chiffon blouse, New Look 6107

Sunday 11th
Today I dagged around in my pants.  It was Mothers’ day so we also had to do the rounds!  I was also proud because I didn’t wear makeup all day – not even when I went into rehearsal.

Monday 12th
A pretty gooby photo of an unblogged Miette cardigan!  Taught all day and rehearsed all night!  I was a  bit mad by the time this photo was taken.
Tuesday 13th
This outfit looks the same as last Monday but it’s different because I’m wearing a dress, not culottes!  And of course my Chuck jumper.  This is the Colette Hawthorn dress.

Wednesday 14th
No good photo today but here’s a photo of our marimba quartet performing in the Nishi building in Canberra.  I wore a new Lady Skater Dress (unblogged) which I made the evening before!  It’s a nice soft stretchy viscose.  We had this concert and then later had another orchestral concert.  Big day!

Thursday 15th
Another (different) lady skater dress made of ponte this time.  Because it has less stretch it feels a little tight but it’s acceptable.  My cardigan is my Milena.  I had to take it off to perform, naturally.  Turns out I really like this cardigan after all!  The only annoying thing is all the buttons, so generally I take it off like a jumper without undoing them.
The concert on Thursday was at the Canberra Glassworks.  They had made us glass xylophone bars, which sounded bad on their own but rad when we put them over my xylophone resonators.  Super cool!
Friday 16th
A bit of a cheat, but I’m just wearing my alpaca scarf this time.  My cardigan and dress are both from Review!
So this month is pretty hard actually… I just want to bung on some jeans!  My handmade skirts are not nearly as wearable as I thought and I only have like two blouses.  Not sure whaht to do since I have zero time in the next few days to fix anything up.

Me-Made-May days 3 to 9!

Me-made-may is HARD!

 Saturday:
Regular pants, my Owls jumper, and a hat I designed myself! It’s a little bit but I’m working on releasing the pattern. It has a snowman on it 🙂

Sunday:
Visited my parents on Sunday, wore my self-drafted bodice dress and my alpaca scarf.  It’s getting so cold!

Monday:
Wore my wonky culottes, alpaca scarf, and Chuck jumper.  Taught all day!!

Tuesday:
Tuesday is my day off teaching when I work for an elderly lady who lives around the corner.  This is my Nympheas jumper

Wednesday:
Handmade skirt from 1000 years ago, Amber Bramble jumper.  Sorry I look bald in this photo, I was at my parents’ house and it’s hard to get a non-dappled photo there!

Thursday: I didn’t get a photo for Thursday!  I taught early, then picked up Charles from the airport, then taught until 5:30, then had to cook dinner and put Charles to bed.  He was so tired!  But it was dark before I realised I hadn’t taken a photo.  I wore basically what I wore on wednesday – that skirt and a regular cardigan.

Friday:

Here’s a new dress that hasn’t been blogged.  It’s a long-sleeved Lady Skater dress!  And my Milena cardigan.  My Milena cardigan is pretty annoying to wear – it’s super warm and has a billion buttons so I should only wear it when I’m SURE I’m not going to overheat and take it off.  Also I look like Christmas.

That’s it so far!  And I haven’t even worn all of my handknits!

Me-Made-May 1 and 2

It’s begun!  Prepare for some really derpy photos!  Charles is away until next Thursday so expect pretty bad photos until then.  Photos are *hard*.

Yesterday, Thursday, I was teaching all day.  These photos were taken by my mum at my parents’ house, where it’s almost impossible to find anywhere not dappled in sunlight.   I do have legs, they’re just invisible.

I wore a me-made blouse, jumper, and scarf!

Today, Friday, I don’t have much on so I’m doing chores and work at home.  I’m wearing my Owls jumper and a blouse I made for CIT.  It’s the Hawthorn peplum blouse by Colette patterns.  Photos were taken by a chair and a self timer.
(Seriously what is wrong with my face in this photo)

I think Me-Made-May will be quite a challenge, I’m already struggling!  But I WILL DO IT.  More photos on Friday next week!
