The other week Charles and I walked from our house down to the lake. It was such a nice walk, and we took lots of photos! In particular, there is an overturned abandoned bus stop near our house we took photos in!

This is the last day of my school holidays, and it’s been very nice to not work! But unfortunately I’ve been sick for most of it – just a vague, niggling, annoying kind of sickness that’s really starting to make me crazy. But here’s what I’ve been up to:

It was my birthday the other week and my awesome Mum made me a sewing machine birthday cake!! Because I got a sewing machine recently!

We made an amazing dinner of Bolognese Mac ‘n’ Cheese from this website, and it was pretty rad, yummy, dense, and lasted us for about four meals each. Srsly delicious you guys.

Arts and Crafts Show Haul
It was three weeks ago now, but I’ve only just managed to blog about the end of the Arts and Crafts Show!
Here is Sticks and Tones (aka me and charles) playing, and our friend Steve came along and played some drums for us!
Here’s all the stuff I bought!
Almond bread and chocolates, a tea towel and a purse.
Lots of cards I bought. I always buy cards from this lady, and then I use up the cards all year.
A potato pot! These pots are made of terracotta, and you microwave your potatoes inside them. They make the potatoes really fluffy and delicious.
Some garden mushrooms, also terracotta. They look so cute in my garden!
I thought this pin cushion was tricky, it’s for storing your machine needles in little labelled sections!
Miracle Nail oil
Ok just a quick blog because I’m really excited.
My nails have been really splitty and gross and weak. I’ve tried a bunch of things to strengthen them and stop the peeling, but so far nothing has worked.
Things that haven’t worked: moisturising my hands; not wearing nail polish; using Sally Hansen nail hardener; using Sally Hansen nail thickener; using rubber gloves while doing the dishes; eating vitamin C; trimming my nails short; and being generally careful not to knock my nails.
I saw this nail oil which claimed to produce flexible, supple, and shiny nails within 7 days. I’ve been using this for about 4 days and I haven’t had any chipping or peeling at all. I’m REALLY EXCITED to have nice nails again.
